Traveling to Mexico aboard cruise ship And need information?

Seeking advise on things to see and do. The ship stops at these three ports; Puerto Vallarta,mazatlan and Cabo San Lucas. I don’t want to go to the bars,also don’t like wandering around among gift shops. What would you recommend I do for about 8 hours while ashore? I will be going in may 07 ,and I am the outdoor type ,married, male. Any non foolish advise would be greatly appreciated.
